On Arbor Day, February 17, 2006, a dedication was held on the campus of Northside High School on behalf of the Students and Faculty. Maple trees were planted, at the entrance of NHS, in memory of
School and friends meant so much to Stephen and Randy. We know they were looking down from heaven with a smile and so proud to see this dedication. On behalf of both families, we thank you.
It is a most generous gift to them and to us.
The Red Maple. With it'sbuds in winter, flowers in the spring, leaf stalks in the summer and spectacular foliage in the fall, it is red in every season. The Red Maple adds color to our world, year around, bringing the promise of life and rebirth with every passing year. It is remarkable well suited to grow in rich clay soil and with a height of 40 to 60 feet and a branching spread of 40 feet, it will frame the entrance ot the NHS parking lot. In it's lifespan of up to 200 years, these trees will welcome future generations of Northside students for years to come.
